Money is a major influence in how one lives or operates and what one does. This applies to individuals, organizations, governments, and countries. Even religion is dependent upon money and often religious endeavors are focused on gaining money or preventing its loss.Everyone knows that money exists. However, many people don’t know what it really is. For some, money is often regarded as something ethereal. For many, it is viewed as something one has in the bank, namely assets. Hence, at times, people consider it as the measure of a person’s “worth.” For much of humanity, money is the medium by which one purchases things or pays taxes (e.g., to a governmental body). In addition, money is often seen as being cash. As such, people ask “How much money do you have?” However, money is far more than an asset, a medium, cash, or other forms of financial transaction.By not knowing what money truly is, or what money really does to people’s lives, one has no real idea how to gain mastery over it. If money is considered as something out in the clouds, then it eludes being controlled. As such, money ends up controlling one in ways that persons and even organizations do not truly understand. Therefore, the truth about money must be told. Money must be defined. When one knows what money truly is, then one can understand its power and can free oneself from being its slave. The purpose of this book is to present a new perspective about money by introducing a new definition of money, indicating what it does and explaining why one should control his/ her money.
